No. France have been found wanting in a big way. Too many of their players are past their prime and the players who were hopefully going to make the team click, failed to turned up. Makelele is over the hill, like Sagnol, Henry and a few others. And Riberi, the best player they have, did not perform as well as he could have. France would have needed more than Villa to get the to the next round. My personal opinion of course, but they really weren’t a godo team.
That’s too many of a “IF” loh. If Pele and Maradona were too be British, Will UK be invinsible then??
